Sarah Duncan

Hello! I’m Sarah, a Mixed Media Artist living in Grimsby, Ontario.

I have been creating art in some form for as long as I can remember and studied art at Sheridan College but when it was time to choose my career path, I chose the animation industry.

I went on to receive my Advanced Diploma in 3D Animation, Art and Design at Humber College and was hired into an animation and VFX studio immediately after graduation.

It wasn’t until 2019 that I fell in love with traditional art again.

My art practice is purely intuitive. I love to play, experiment and push the limits on how I trust that intuition, sometimes going as far as painting without my glasses. I trust the process and know that great things come when you let go of judgement and expectations. It's all about the painting experience for me. The results are expressive abstracts, playful colour combinations, and landscapes you could only otherwise visit in your dreams. My hope is to connect to your subconscious through my art and that you can have a piece of artwork in your space that truly speaks to you.
